At Honda of Vallejo, we’re proud to showcase Honda’s strong commitment to manufacturing right here in the United States. For over 40 years, Honda has produced more than 31 million cars and light trucks in America. In 2023 alone, over one million vehicles rolled off the lines of Honda’s U.S. plants—accounting for more than two-thirds of all Honda and Acura vehicles sold across the country.
Honda currently operates 12 manufacturing facilities nationwide, turning out approximately 3.5 million products each year. These plants are responsible for producing a wide array of items, including Honda and Acura vehicles and their engines, transmissions, and components, as well as aircraft, aircraft engines, power equipment, and powersports products. With a dedicated team of more than 23,000 associates, Honda’s investment in American manufacturing runs deep. Since 1987, Honda has exported over 13.4 million U.S.-built products—ranging from vehicles and service parts to powersports equipment and aircraft—demonstrating the global demand for American-made Honda products.
Honda's manufacturing footprint in America includes several key facilities:
-Marysville, Ohio: Home to the Marysville Auto Plant, which began operations in 1982. It employs about 4,700 associates and has a production capacity of 220,000 vehicles. Models built here include the Accord, Accord Hybrid, Acura TLX, and Acura Integra.
-East Liberty, Ohio: The East Liberty Auto Plant started production in 1989 and currently employs around 3,100 associates. With a capacity of 240,000 vehicles, it manufactures the CR-V, CR-V Hybrid, Acura MDX, and Acura RDX.
-Lincoln, Alabama: The Alabama Auto Plant launched in 2001 and employs roughly 4,500 associates. It can produce up to 340,000 vehicles and 340,000 engines annually, assembling models like the Odyssey, Passport, Pilot, Ridgeline, and TrailSport, along with V-6 engines.
-Greensburg, Indiana: Operational since 2008, the Indiana Auto Plant employs approximately 2,700 associates. It has a production capacity of 250,000 vehicles and builds the Civic Hatchback, CR-V, and CR-V Hybrid.
